Towards the end of the financial year, we’re appealing for your support to help the Theatre Royal expand the range of access programs for Tasmanians to experience arts and culture, and enable local artists to tell new stories that reflect our communities.

The last two years have created many challenges for creating and presenting live performance and the Theatre Royal is committed to nurturing a vibrant creative sector for all Tasmanians.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

With the development of The Hedberg, the future of the Theatre Royal has so much potential. Over the next 12 months, we will prioritise new investment in access programs for young people and disadvantaged communities, support Tasmanian artists to develop and present their work, and diversify the range of public programs we offer.

LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN

Our program opens up opportunities for disadvantaged children to experience productions at the Theatre Royal by paying for their tickets. 

CHARITY AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS

Through your support, we are able to gift tickets to Tasmanian charities, making an experience at the theatre more accessible for everyone.

TASMANIAN ARTISTS

Our RAWspace program provides funding, space, technical support and mentoring to Tasmanian artists for the development of new work. We will also increase the number of Tasmanian productions presented in our annual program.
