The Theatre Royal believes everyone has the right to experience and participate in creative and cultural activities.

Create greater access to live performance for young people and community members who face barriers to attending the theatre, through our Applause Access program. 

Create more opportunities to participate through creative programming, activities and workshops, such as our Staycation school holiday program.  

Create programs that nurture talent, like RAWspace, supporting Tasmanian artists to tell stories and develop new works that are relevant to our community now.  

Create career pathways for young people, through our Future Stages program that connects secondary school students to the professional performing arts sector, identifying skills development and tertiary opportunities.   

Future Stages Plus1 Campaign

We’re aiming to raise $25,000 in new donations by May 2025 to support our Future Stages program. If successful, Creative Australia will match every dollar donated with an additional $25,000 as part of its Plus1 program, meaning a donation of $50 becomes $100.

Our Giving Circles are a group of visionary donors whose multi-year support helps provides long-term sustainable funding and planning certainty, ensuring the growth and development Theatre Royal programs such as RAWspace and TR Future Stages.
