Can you help us raise $25,000 towards Future Stages as part of our Plus1 Campaign? 

TR Future Stages provides Tasmanian students in years 10 to 12 with the opportunity to experience productions, access behind-the-scenes, and participate in creative workshops that connect them more closely with arts professionals and pathways to a career in the performing arts. 

A secondary objective is to increase school retention for young people at a critical point of their studies in Year 10, by providing insight into the multiple careers and pathways available to pursue a career in the arts and tangible information about how they can access it.   

Some of the feedback we have received from 2024 participants is provided below. 

• Future Stages has helped me so much not only with confidence but also with my career pathway. I found new pathways I could take that suit my interests/aspirations. I’m so grateful to have had this experience!  
   
• I love the Future Stages Program. It has inspired me to look further into touring as a technician with a production company. The opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Theatre Royal and have a look at the equipment was fantastic.  

We’re aiming to raise $25,000 in new donations by May 2025 to support the future delivery of our Future Stages program. If successful, Creative Australia will match every dollar donated with an additional $25,000 as part of its Plus1 program, meaning a donation of $50 becomes $100.
