Ableton Education Tour

Hosted by the School of Creative Arts and Media, University of Tasmania, join us for a day for both students and community members interested in exploring the creative composition and performance workflows of Ableton Live software.

Elle Graham Woodes
Elle will talk through her career journey to date, from her beginnings as a singer/ songwriter in a regional town to living and working between Melbourne and Los Angeles as a sessional artist. She will talk through how she uses Ableton Live in her own work composing as Woodes, and on stage in her work as a Musical Director for other artists.

Matt Ridgway Ableton
Matt will demonstrate Ableton Live’s performative workflow, showing a range of tips and tricks to quickly come up with interesting unique musical starting points for compositions using Ableton Live.

Alex Moss
Alex will present an interactive audio-visual project demonstrating some of the tools, techniques and processes he has developed through his practice. They will share insights and approaches for creating meaningful connections between sound and visual elements using Ableton Live as well as specific processes for developing interactive audio driven generative visuals and immersive environments.

  • Arriving at the Hedberg Please arrive between 11:30am - 11:45am via the University of Tasmania entrance to the building on 13 Collins Street Hobart.
  • Accessible Facilities The Recital Hall is located on the ground floor with level access from Collins street.

  • Mask requirements Mask wearing is an individual choice, however UTAS strongly recommends that masks be worn in indoor settings, particularly where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
