As part of our Songwriting Open Day 2025, we are thrilled to host our featured artist, singer-songwriter Nick Wolfe!

Nick Wolfe is an award-winning Australian songwriter, musician, and one-half of the country-rock powerhouse The Wolfe Brothers. As the band’s lead songwriter, Nick has been instrumental in shaping their distinctive sound, blending modern country with rock and pop influences. His songwriting talent has earned The Wolfe Brothers an impressive 10 Golden Guitar Awards, solidifying their place among Australia’s most celebrated country acts.

With 19 No. 1 singles on Australian country radio, Nick’s songs have consistently topped the charts, resonating with fans for their heartfelt storytelling, infectious melodies, and authentic Australian spirit. 

Hits like No Brakes, Livin’ the Dream, and Kids on Cassette have showcased his ability to craft songs that connect deeply with listeners while pushing the genre’s boundaries.

Tickets are free, however registration is essential as places are limited.

  • Arriving at the Hedberg
    Please arrive between 12.30pm - 12.45pm and enter via the University of Tasmania entrance to The Hedberg located at 19 Collins Street Hobart.
  • Accessible Facilities
    The Ian Potter Recital Hall is located on the ground floor with level access from Collins Street.

  • Mask requirements
    Mask wearing is an individual choice, however UTAS strongly recommends that masks be worn in indoor settings, particularly where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
