Deep Sea Storytelling: An Onboard Experience

Fri 13 Sep 2024 1:00 pm
The Salon at The Hedberg

Master of Strategic Communication student Jessica Serna Sierra will take us through her professional placement experience as part of the communications team of Beagle Voyage.

This expedition took Marine and Coastal Hub scientists to monitor species and ecosystems in Bass Strait Beagle Marine Park. Using an underwater robot, they captured stunning images of colorful sponge gardens and a curious girls-only gathering of Port Jackson Sharks.

In conversation with Dr Linda Hunt, Jessica will talk about what she has learned from this experience, including accomplishments and challenges she faced while creating content aboard the Marine Research Vessel Ngerin.
