Still Talking 'Bout a Revolution
Barkindji woman, and esteemed singer-songwriter Nancy Bates reflects on the songs of Tracy Chapman, and relevance to race relations, society, and politics in Australia today.
Four years on the road with Archie Roach have spurred Bates on to become a powerful presence on stage, an advocate for Mental Health, and Ambassador to the Australian Performing Rights Association. In recent years she has collaborated with many women in prison, turning their experiences of pain and loss into beautiful music.
Winner of the Adelaide Fringe Bank SA Best Music Award 2022.
