ningina tunapri This exhibition explores the journey of Tasmanian Aboriginal people and is a celebration of all Tasmanian Aboriginal generations. The exhibition provides an inspiring introduction to Tasmanian Aboriginal culture for patrons of all ages.
parrawa, parrawa! Go Away, Go Away! This exhibition tells the story of Aboriginal people and colonists following the invasion of lutruwita, now called Tasmania, focusing on the Black War. Go on an immersive journey through this dark period of history, with objects, contemporary historical accounts and specially commissioned films all helping to bring the story to life.
Visiting with young children? Our dedicated children’s Gallery mapiya lumi | Around Here is a must. Follow the palawa kani word trail and explore the many references to lutruwita/ Tasmania’s unique environment. Bookings encouraged but optional.
